The J-B Weld TankWeld 2110 brings the materials for a small metal fuel tank repair together in one pack. Alongside the grey epoxy putty, the kit includes fibreglass cloth, sandpaper and an applicator, so you can check what the job calls for before opening the pack.

Will it suit your tank?

Start with the tank material and the size of the damaged area. J-B Weld specifies this kit for metal fuel tanks and metal storage containers with holes up to 6.35 mm (¼ inch) in diameter or cracks up to 101.6 mm (4 inches) long. The shaped surface of a tank can make damage hard to assess. If you are unsure about the condition of a leaking fuel tank, have a qualified mechanic inspect it before attempting a repair.

What’s in the kit?

The epoxy putty and fibreglass cloth form the patch, while the sandpaper and applicator are included for preparation and application. Model 2110 is the complete TankWeld kit. It is intended for metal only. Plastic tanks, including polyethylene and polypropylene tanks, fall outside its specified uses.
